Panasonic Eluga Power

Panasonic has returned to the European smartphone markets with the release of the new Panasonic Eluga Power.

Panasonic has now come up with a narrow frame which enables them to pack a  1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, NFC technology, 8MP camera with full HD (1080p) video recording) Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and 5-inch HD screen in an amazingly thin 9.6mm.

This narrow frame technology along with the back cover slanting in, makes it look much smaller than it actually is. It comes with a 5-inch LCD HD (1280×720) without any buttons under the screen or on the side of the phone, which means that the only buttons which are actually present (Power/lock and volume up and down) are placed at the back of the device. The slim design also helps when it comes to using it one-handed. Even the keyboard it pretty easy to type with all the buttons placed spaced and accurate.

Sporting a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor Ice Cream Sandwich does run smoothly but Panasonic has not included much camera and video options which means that there is not much to play around with. It also comes with NFC technology and internal memory of 8GB can be pepped by a microSD card of up to 32GB.Panasonic has also made the Eluga Power dustproof and waterproof. Another important feature in the Eluga Power is the superfast charging which means that it can charge 50% of the battery (1800mAh) in 30mins and 80% in 57 minutes.

We expect it to go head to head with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Optimus Vu so it has to come with a certainly competitive price.
