hello folks..recently i have started using PIC kit2 programmer for my project.I have done a couple of tests like led blinking,ADC reading with a PIC16F876A micro.Today i faced a problem. While programming the micro with  PIC kit2 programmer which is connected to my laptop through a USB cable ,it is showing an error

“PICkit2 VDD voltage level error”  “Check target and retry operation”

However, when i am connecting the standalone PIC kit2 programmer ,it is showing no error. To ensure that my PIC kit2 is perfectly working,i have done the troubleshooting and found out that it was perfectly working.
When i am connecting the micro and trying to program the above error props up on screen.
    help me :(

As shown in the error message, please check your target. It might be the problem of your pic microcontroller. Try replacing it with a new one. Check whether the ICSP circuit is correct or not.
