    Why do we use Vdd and Vss in some ICs instead of Vcc and GND?:o

    Most of the ICs are manufactured using MOSFETs instead of BJTs. From the following definitions you can understand the difference..

    For BJT
    >Vcc – Collector Voltage

    For MOSFET or FET
    >Vdd – Drain Voltage
    >Vss – Source Voltage
