X3 Quad-Core Processor from LG

It seems that the launch of quad core handsets will arrive sooner than expected. HTC had sent out invites to some of the tech site for the media event going to be held on 26th of February, 2012, just ahead of MWC. Since it is a major event, they focus mainly on the product announcement, they could mainly the world’s first quad core smart phone the HTC Edge. However, irrespective of our expectations, it appears that LG is jumped a lot and may have a quad core smartphone as their own before HTC.

The technology of Smart phones and PC’s are changing and developing day by day in a very fast rate. If we compare the technology’s that available today with a few years back, the difference is amazing. We can tell that the upcoming LG X3 is set to join the Tegra 3 Quad-Core party.

LG X3 is equipped with Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, the same processor as in Asus Transformer Prime, apparently it is the best processor now in the market since it is quad core. LG X3 is the first LG phone to feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung is the first manufacture who offer new operating system, unlike Samsung Galaxy Nexus, LG X3 might feature companies custom user interface screen.

The features of LG X3 includes  8 mega pixel camera, 1.3 mega pixel front camera and the new ‘Standard’ of Android smart phones, come with an impressive display of 4.7 inch diagonally at 1280*720 resolutions.


The internal storage memory of X3 is believed to have 16GB and can be expanded via micro SD memory card. It have physical capacitive buttons over touchscreen ones. It is believed to have HSPA+ connectivity that could see LTE added in certain regions. It will also have the latest Bluetooth technology with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and NFC capability and have a 2000mAh battery.
