The Android app Google Docs has recently updated to version 1.0.43. Smartphone and Tablet users running on Android OS can operate this application in an easy and user-friendly manner through this update with added features. This information has revealed by official Google Mobile blog.

The most useful and attractive feature of this update was its offline access. This update has made by considering the difficulties of busy professionals and employees who are constantly moving, may not have access to internet all the time. The new update allows the users to access their files stored in Google Docs even in offline. The revamped software allows the users to select the files which are needed to be view in offline.


Google blog site says that Google Docs automatically updates the offline files when the users get connected to internet via Wi-Fi.  We can also manually update the files using data connection by opening the file or clicking on the ‘Update’ option of the offline section of the App. This new update is capable of running in Android mobile devices running in 2.1 OS or higher.

The reading experience of  Google Docs also has been enhanced for Android tablet users. They will be able to view a high resolution version of the document, when they open the document in a tablet and if they are online. Tablet users merely have to swipe left or right to flip between pages or want to use the slider at the bottom of the page to move ahead quickly.

This Google Docs Update is now available to download from the Android Market.
